Tramway

Yesterday we bought 3 day passes for the tram to explore the city. This is a fabulous way to travel. It is frequent, clean and safe. Even the kids use it since there are no school buses. We took the tram to the cable car to visit the Bastille. Beautiful views overlooking the city. We also explored the tunnel to the madarin caves and hiked back down to the city making lots of discoveries along the way.
This morning we visited the Vizille Chateau which is sits on 100 ha and houses the French Revolution museem. We enjoyed a picnic lunch and fed the swans and ducks. When you visit, you must come see this place and it`s free!
This afternoon we stopped by IKEA and Darty since we will be buying all our electrical needs and lighting here.
We find this city to be very clean and friendly. The shopkeepers love to chat and even on the street people smile and say bonjour. Our contact Isabel has helped us find our way very quickly giving us time to explore and feel comfortable with our decision to more here. More coming soon...
